The luxury marketplace’s chief executive told a stockbrokers’ conference the company, which has divided investors, was spending more on customer service.

Dean Mintz, the reclusive chief executive of online fashion retailer Cettire, claimed his e-commerce platform has “best in class” returns process in the face of growing scepticism about the company’s earnings growth and dealings with customers and regulators.

Growing concern from investors has been one reason Mr Mintz, who has rarely made public appearances as Cettire’s market capitalisation grew, has begun briefing shareholders. Earlier this month, Mr Mintz spoke at the Macquarie Australia conference in Sydney, pitching the potential of the luxury goods marketplace.

“We have a very vast supply chain that grown quickly over a short period of time,” Mr Mintz told investors at the Bell Potter conference on Thursday. “We don’t believe we have any material concentration risk on our supply side.”
