Cumberland County Commissioners have named Keeter Kallam as the Director of the Office of Veterans Affairs and Services. Serving the county’s more than 17,000 veterans, Kallam is charged with advocating for veterans and their families for federal, state and county benefits and services in accordance with laws, regulations, and policies.
Kallam, a civilian worker, recently served as a contract specialist at the Naval Support Activity Base in Mechanicsburg. Previously she served as a deployment readiness coordinator for the Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, California, and Family Readiness Program Manager at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, California. Keeter began her career as a certified society caseworker for the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
