Australian captain Pat Cummins made history when he took his 200th Test wicket against the West Indies on Friday. 9News

Pat Cummins surpassed the Test wicket tally of Jeff Thomson as Australia wore down the West Indies on day three of the Perth Test.

Cummins drew level with Thomson on Australia's list of wicket-takers when he removed West Indies captain Kraigg Brathwaite, fizzing the ball past the forward defence of the opener and collecting the top of off."He was very good today. I thought he was very tactically good also as captain, and obviously picking up the wickets he did and getting past Thommo is a great achievement," Taylor told Wide World of Sports.

Warner must be hungry to pile on the runs when play resumes on day four, especially as he fell for five runs in the first innings and watched two of his teammates"I think if they get a wriggle on in the morning they could bat until about lunch, and they should be well in advance of 450," Taylor said.
