Michael Cheika knows what an incredible opportunity awaits him to become the first coach in history to oversee two different countries in two different codes at two different World Cups in just 11 months.
“To get the chance to give back to my country, to help them with this chance to play in a World Cup, it was too great an opportunity to give up,” Cheika said. “It’s going to be a great challenge, but also a hugely exciting one. I want success for both countries in both sports. Many at the Tigers believe Farah is fit enough to come out of retirement and play at the World Cup for Lebanon, who have been grouped with New Zealand, Ireland and Jamaica. Lebanon will feature Doueihi, potentially Farah, as well as Alex Twal, Josh Mansour and Mitchell Moses.
