The Melbourne weather made for a touch-and-go event when celebrity chef Curtis Stone prepared to feed 1700 guests at the $275-a-head World’s Longest Lunch in Kings Domain on Friday.
Such was the predicament Stone found himself in when Melbourne’s weather – which had already played havoc with the Formula 1 grand prix – threatened to wash out the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival’s World’s Longest Lunch on Friday.
He composed himself quickly, took to the stage and paid tribute to industrial relations reporters around the country, urging greater support for them.Melbourne’s love affair with Perry continued when the AFL paid millions for a set at last year’s grand final. Taylor first received a cease and desist letter from Perry’s US lawyers back in 2009, demanding she withdraw an Australian trademark application.ruled that Perry had infringed Taylor’s trademark in a series of tweets and Facebook posts.Perry launched an appeal, and as CBD reported last year, while the popstar was in Australia during the hearing, she didn’t even show up at the courtroom, much to her opponent’s dismay.
