A business shutting down its key operations raises questions about the future rollout of a contract with the Queensland government to help boost cybersecurity for small businesses.

Cybersecurity business Cryptoloc , which won a $15 million Queensland government contract this year, has shut down key operations.

It raises questions about the future rollout of the contract to help boost cybersecurity for small businesses, only months after the deal was awarded to Cryptoloc in an announcement by the previous Labor government. Court documents showed that company, Your Digital File , had not been paying staff wages on time. It was put into liquidation in November this year after failing to pay bills from the Australian Taxation Office.

But Australian Impact Group director Miranda Mears confirmed to the ABC that she had been unable to contact anyone from Cryptoloc after the website was shut down.Mr Wilson has not responded to queries from the ABC and has deleted his LinkedIn profile, from which he once promoted his business video podcasts on issues such as branding.

One update to shareholders earlier this year stated that given "volatility surrounding cybersecurity companies", a share market float of the business "at this time would not be consistent with delivering strong shareholder returns".
