Police were on Duke Street on Monday morning after a crash involving a car and cyclist. The occupants of the vehicle left the scene as the cyclist was rushed to hospital.
Police raced to Duke Street just before 10am on September 4, after reports of a crash involving a car and cyclist. The man has been rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment after sustaining injuries - the nature of which is not known at this stage.
The occupants of the car fled the scene on foot. Police have now launched a probe into the circumstances of the crash. An eyewitness told GlasgowLive: "A car was damaged and a man was covered in blood at the side of the road."A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.50am on Monday, September 4 police were called to the Duke Street area of Glasgow, following a report of a crash involving a car and a cyclist.
"The male cyclist has been taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. The occupants of the car left the scene on foot and emergency services remain in the area.We have contacted Scottish Ambulance Service for comment.
