It’s been revealed a 26-year-old woman fighting for life after being struck by a rollercoaster at the Melbourne Royal Show had only recently been recovering from another tragedy. 7NEWS
“She’s going to be in a coma for quite a while.
Shylah Rodden is believed to have walked onto the track of the Rebel Coaster ride to retrieve her phone when she was struck by a moving carriage on Sunday.Earlier in July, Shylah took to social media to share she had lost her brother, Jason.“He wasn’t just my big brother, he was my best friend, my everything, the person I looked up to and inspired to be like.
“It is an extreme rollercoaster which is a lot of fun generally, but this was a tragic accident that shouldn’t have happened,” he said. “’It’s a very tight knit show community ... and everyone is totally devastated,” he told ABC Radio Melbourne on Monday morning.
