A court has heard that the father of teenager Kaylea Titford, who died after being allegedly neglected by her parents, told police he was 'not the perfect father’.
The dad of a Welsh schoolgirl who died after being allowed to reach nearly 23 stone admitted ‘I’m not the perfect father’ to police, a court has heard.and bedbound in a filthy room in the last eight months of her life.
Kaylea had spina bifida and was wheelchair bound, although her father admitted she had outgrown it and couldn’t use it any more.some of which were up to 48 hours old.He told police: ‘I’m just not a very good partner and dad. I don’t do much around the house.The teen was found ‘amid soiled clothing and bed linen’ at her home‘Kaylea very rarely talked to me. She’d answer questions and tell me to get out. I’d ask if she was OK, if she needed anything: tea, biscuits, crisps or whatever.
‘She hasn’t used the shower room for a long time. She doesn’t fit in the shower chair or the toilet. She hasn’t used them for around 12 months. It’s kept for the dog mainly now.’
