A fuming dad marched his young daughter to the front door of Gary Glitter's bail address demanding an explanation from staff of why they are protecting a child sex offender. and told him they called the police after he sought the explanation.
"I would just like someone to explain what's going on. Explain to my six-year-old daughter who you're protecting in there. It's her that needs protecting - not him. It's our children that need protecting. Glitter, real name Paul Gadd, is believed to have been holed to have been holed up at the site in the south of England since being released from HMP Verne in Dorset on Friday. He was freed after serving half of his 16-year sentence for the sexual abuse of three schoolgirls.
The predator's fall from grace began in 1999 when he was jailed for four months after admitting to the possession of around 4,000 child pornography images. He went abroad following his release, and in 2002 was kicked out of Cambodia amid allegations of sex crimes.
