Dale Steyn has taken more than 400 Test wickets but the South African admits nerves still played a part in a self-confessed Big Bash League debut "shocker".
The quick retired from Test cricket earlier this year and had his BBL debut for the Melbourne Stars put on hold for two games as he battled a side strain.The paceman was cleared to face Adelaide on the Gold Coast on Friday but things didn't go to plan. A series of half volleys were met with glee from Jake Weatherald, who smashed two sixes and two fours in succession over mid-off before skying a catch to finish an eventful over."My first over was a shocker," he laughed.
"Maybe nerves, eager to perform, it just shows there's a bit of a care factor, you want to do well for your team and I've been really excited about playing in the Big Bash.
