Michael Daley has announced he will stand aside as the New South Wales Opposition Leader after Saturday's underwhelming election result. His deputy Penny Sharpe will take over as interim leader, who says ‘my job is to get us going, get us ready for the fight’.
Mr Daley plans to re-nominate himself for the Labor leadership when a ballot is held for the position after May’s federal election.
