The new CEO of TGI Fridays says the 58-year-old restaurant chain based in Dallas is looking at big changes as he takes on the new role and tries to break from the middle of the pack in the casual dining industry.
TGI Fridays named Brandon Coleman III as its new CEO Tuesday after less than a year as its chief marketing officer, taking the lead after the company’s former CEO stepped down in May.“TGI Fridays’ strength and weakness is how well it’s known,” Coleman, 40, said. “And because people know us so well, that’s great. The risk is that people think they know what to expect from us.”
