Under clear skies, the Dallas Cowboys held their first training camp practice on Wednesday. Every player was in attendance except for holdout guard Zack Martin.
Wednesday also marked the first time the media got to talk with cornerback Trevon Diggs after he agreed to a 5-year, $97 million contract extension this week.
Head coach Mike McCarthy, who had a hand in drafting Diggs in 2020, is thankful Diggs signed his new deal before the first practice in Oxnard. Diggs is entering the final year of his four-year rookie contract and is happy the Cowboys believe in him to reward him with a long-term contract.
