A Cedar Hill man is in custody after police say he impersonated a police officer and sexually assaulted a woman after she refused to have sex with him.
About 1:15 a.m. April 3, Tyler met up with a woman in the 1700 block of North Record Street in downtown Dallas after responding to her ad on an escort website, an arrest-warrant affidavit says. As she was walking away, Tyler yelled that she was under arrest and started reaching for a handgun in his waistband, the affidavit says.
The woman tried to get away, but Tyler pointed his gun at her and forced her into the backseat, telling her he was “calling for backup.” After he asked her whether she wanted to go home or to jail and she said she wanted to go home, Tyler sexually assaulted the woman, the affidavit says.
