Dallas police have identified a second suspect in a slaying that left a man and woman dead and two young children unattended at their home for several days....
Surveillance footage showed three people going up to the apartment the night of June 26 and confronting Stewart, according to the affidavit. Someone fired one shot, and one of the attackers forced their way into the unit.
The trio left the apartment but returned several times throughout the night to steal belongings, police allege. The couple’s car also was taken from the parking lot. Quincy Edwards, 19, was arrested on two counts of capital murder last month, jail records show, and remains in custody with bail set at $5 million.
According to the affidavit, a witness told police that Edwards admitted going to the apartment to rob the couple and that Edwards had shot Stewart. One of the other robbers also fired a shot, the affidavit says.Police described Johnson as a Black man who is 5-11 and about 150 pounds and said he should be considered armed and dangerous. A photo released by police showed him with tattoos including a dollar sign on his neck and the word “Blessed” above his right eyebrow.
