Hundreds of fans were dancing along to the music when the floor of the theatre suddenly caved in under the weight bringing the show to an abrupt halt.
One witness described it as being "like a cross between a water bed and a trampoline".
"No-one hurt, too much excitement, jumping, massive crack," another concert-goer wrote on social media. Security guards moved people to the edges of the dance floor and placed wheelie bins and a barricade over the collapsed area.ARIA-winning artist Owusu then broke the news to the audience that the show would have to be postponed."There's like a real big drop under that so this is actually really dangerous," he told the crowd.He said it was the "craziest crowd" and the concert "would go down in history".
The historic Enmore Theatre had only recently reopened after being closed for two years due to COVID-19.
