“What we have in Victoria is a premier that just keeps digging a bigger and bigger hole,” Mr McCrann told Sky News host Peta Credlin. “Not only for himself, but for the entire state, and fired that impact on the national economy for the entire nation. “He’s just fundamentally pig-headed … he refuses to change course, he insists that the only way to run Victoria is to go down this manic path.

That’s not part of his remit, and he doesn’t have the power to do that.\n\n“Victoria has been fundamentally run by Daniel Andrews and Brett Sutton for the last five or six months.\n\n“We need our democratic institutions to come to the fore, not being brushed aside by Daniel Andrews who is drunk on power.”\n\nImage: Getty
