The Leeds United boss is wary of the threat their promotion rivals pose despite Southampton losing their last four games on the bounce
Daniel Farke says he couldn't think of a worse time to play fellow relegated side Southampton ahead of the trip to St. Mary's this weekend. Leeds United take on a Saints side who've lost their last four Championship games on the bounce and have dropped out of the early pace-setting pack.
"Well first of all we know that we're in good shape, a good moment of the season because six games unbeaten and four clean sheets in a row - pretty impressive performances," Farke told reporters at his pre-match press conference. "Obviously a really good result in the last game."Many points in the last game, we're happy with the moment but we're also not over the moon.
"They have four losses in a row. It's tricky at times when you have a busy schedule and you play three games in six days to change things. "To play against us is more or less always a game of the season for the opponent. Then once you're in red hot form like this, with one game you have the chance to win the momentum back and change the whole mood.
