COVID inquiry a ‘farce’: Daniel Andrews ‘not good at being transparent’Shadow Health Minister Anne Ruston has slammed Labor’s COVID-19 inquiry as a “farce” as it will mainly focus on the Commonwealth instead of state responsibility during the pandemic years. Her comments come after Treasurer Jim Chalmers said states were welcome to make “submissions” into the review. “Clearly Annastacia Palaszczuk and Daniel Andrews don’t seem to have much appetite for turning up and actually explaining the decisions they made,” Ms Ruston told Sky News Australia. Ms Ruston said Victoria particularly saw the “devastating impact” of decisions made by their state government. “I’m sorry, the Treasurer can say whatever he likes. “The proof of this will be in whether they actually do turn up and at this stage, I think every Australian knows that Daniel Andrews is not very good at turning up and being transparent about his actions.”
