A “relieved” Daniel Ricciardo felt the Mexico City Grand Prix was “the weekend I dreamed of” having qualified in fourth and finished the race in seventh place.
Speaking after the race, Ricciardo was feeling “a lot of emotions” having scored his first points of the season for AlphaTauri.“Two starts on this track, you hold your breath because it’s such a long run to turn one and anything can happen into turn one. However, the fact Ricciardo restarted the race in fifth and only lost two spots after action resumed was “close to” the best case scenario.
