The Labour MP for Tottenham is visiting Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories for the first time as Foreign Secretary.
David Lammy met families of hostages murdered or held in Gaza by Hamas as he continued his visit to the Middle East.
“Settlements in the West Bank are illegal under international law and harm prospects for a two-state solution.” He announced that the UK will provide another £5.5 million this year to UK-Med to fund its work in Gaza. “The fighting has got to stop, the hostages still cruelly detained by Hamas terrorists need to be released immediately, and aid must be allowed in to reach the people of Gaza without restrictions.
