Longtime late night host David Letterman is joining Seth Meyers for the 40th anniversary of “Late Night.”
Over the course of his late night show career, Letterman has interviewed many fan favorites, like Bill Murray.He interviewed America’s beloved celebrities and notable people, such as Robin Williams, Tom Hanks, Bill Murray, Julia Roberts and, later, Lizzo and former president Barack Obama.“Now that is a show that would make college-age Seth Meyers very happy. Also, current Seth Meyers,” Meyers said of the special guest.
Meyers, who took over the show after Jimmy Fallon in 2014, accredited the success of “Late Night” to Letterman’s lasting — and “incredible” — legacy.upon becoming the new host. “If it wasn’t for David Letterman, this show wouldn’t exist. And if it wasn’t for David Letterman, I wouldn’t be here.”
