Walker was taken into custody on Aug. 5, when American police found her and her son safe in Oregon City, ending a two-week search. Her family had last heard from her on July 22; the following day, her truck and belongings were found by the riverbank in Saskatoon’s Chief Whitecap Park and reported to RCMP.Article content

In the U.S., she faces a felony charge of aggravated identity theft and a misdemeanour charge of identity theft, according to a criminal complaint filed in Oregon on Aug. 5. Saskatoon police have charged her with mischief and parental abduction in contravention of a custody order.
