The zombie Darkseid of the DCeased universe continues to amass power and dangerous allies, posing one of the greatest threats to the Justice League yet. Not only is Darkseid flanked by New Gods, but he's now claimed a Sinestro Corps power ring.
Warning: SPOILERS for DCeased: War of the Undead Gods #2The Justice League have had many formidable foes during their history as a team, few more terrifying than the evil New God Darkseid. The Justice League of the DCeased universe currently has their work cut out for them, as Darkseid's undead equivalent is even more powerful than his regular form.
The DCeased saga entered its third and final act with the ongoing DCeased: War of the Undead Gods. The survivors of Earth recently found a cure to the Anti-Life virus that broke out in the original DCeased storyline, reviving some of the zombified victims such as Superman and Big Barda. Victory, however, sadly found itself cut short as a mounting threat emerges in the undead New Gods of Apokolips and New Genesis, led of course by an infected Darkseid.
Darkseid Is Officially a Yellow Lantern On his own, the undead Darkseid already posed a notable threat to the survivors of the DCeased universe. The New God, once one of the Justice League's most terrifying and powerful villains, now stood as an infected force of nature, a being of pure strength and evil. With the added power of a Yellow Lantern ring, the unliving Darkseid now holds the ability to channel the fear he inflicts on others into tangible energy he can use against them.
The Justice League Face a New Dark Trinity The final page of DCeased: War of the Undead Gods #2 shows the unliving trinity of Darkseid, Supergirl and Warworld ready to wreak havoc on an unprepared universe. As his threat continues to grow in a constant amassment of power, it's hard to imagine a greater challenge for DCeased's Justice League.
