David De Gea rejects new Man United deal whilst back-up goalkeeper still linked with top six rival MUFC
Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has reportedly rejected the club’s initial offer for a new contract.
report that the 32-year-old has turned their first offer down, they also say there is expected to be a ‘positive conclusion’.Discussions between the player and the club are advancing, and De Gea is aware that he will need to take a reduction from his current £375,000-a-week pay. The 26-year-old is currently on loan at Nottingham Forest, although recent appearances have been limited due to a thigh problem.
Two clubs are said to have contacted about a potential move, and United would seek a new no.2 should he depart.
