Ralf Little is confirmed to be leaving BBC 1's Caribbean crime caper Death in Paradise after almost five years of playing DI Neville Parker. The actor, who has been the longest lasting star in the leading role, will make his final appearance in Sunday's episode in a storyline which sees him continue with his quest to find his true love.
The series, which launched in 2011, has already been commissioned for a 14th series and will also return for a Christmas special this year, which is set to film over the coming months. In recent weeks there has been growing speculation from viewers that much-loved Neville could be on the way out. In 2021, he admitted he finds it irritating to hear people describe the drama, which attracts up to 8million viewers, as their “guilty pleasure”.
He said: "I am still trying to gently steer the narrative away from that phrase. What is there to be guilty about?
