One of Australia's oldest craft breweries has gone into administration as the horror year for independent beer producers continues.
The Grand Ridge Brewing Company, a small beer maker based in the Strzelecki RangesThe company employs 10 people, and administrators Richard Lawrence and Mitch Ball from Mackay Goodwin are looking to sell the business.Grand Ridge Brewing Company has gone into administration.
"This decision was the most difficult in 35 years of operation," founder and owner Eric Walters said. "Our industry, along with many others, is currently finding business very challenging. We foresee a positive future in a restructured business and are eager to reset and move forward."Mackay Goodwin said Grand Ridge's taphouse and brewery will remain open and that it hopes to retain as many staff as possible.
