Striking fear into the hearts of CEOs, a lowly Twitter bot exposing corporate hypocrisy left a trail of carnage through this year's International Women's Day.

The bot used publicly available information from a government database that records differences in pay between men and women in UK companies with more than 250 employees. A cat-and-mouse game ensued, with accounts blocking the bot or even taking the drastic step of making their tweets private.The bot picked up hundreds of thousands of followers and its #IWD2022 tweets had over 80 million impressions , Ms Lawson said."There's been quite a low amount of response from the companies we're calling out, but the response from the public has been overwhelming.
