Dems asked Marie Yovanovitch about Ukraine's involvement in the 2016 election
Asked by Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff to respond to the tweet, Yovanovitch called it “very intimidating,” adding: “The effect is to be intimidating.”
Those who felt “stymied” by the official U.S. anti-corruption policy in Ukraine, she added, “shared baseless allegations with the president and convinced him to remove his ambassador, despite the fact that the State Department fully understood that the allegations were false and the sources highly suspect.”
"This is an impeachment of Rudy Giuliani," he said in an interview. "But last time I checked, he’s not the president." Much of what Yovanovitch said Friday was revealed in the transcript of her closed door testimony delivered last month, when lawmakers first heard about the circumstances of her removal.
