Deku has been in his fair share of fights during My Hero Academia's epic anime run, with these ten bouts being a few of his hardest challenges yet!
In the highly popular anime world of My Hero Academia, main protagonist Izuku Midoriya aka Deku is a powerful hero in training that has been in more than a few scraps throughout the series’ six seasons and counting, with some of his toughest fights still to come.
9 Gran Torino Also a test fight that helped Deku learn the ropes of his budding Full Cowling technique, Gran Torino assigns Midoriya the task of landing just a single One For All smash on him before three minutes is up. Teaching Deku to find better ways to control his power and do so on a quicker timetable, Midoriya failed both times he attempted to land a hit on Gran Torino, despite him coming awfully close the second time around.
7 Hitoshi Shinso Taking on Hitoshi while fighting in the Sports Festival’s Fighting Tournament, this is a battle that Deku almost loses right off the rip thanks to Hitoshi’s Brainwashing Quirk, which allows him to force people to follow his orders after they respond to anything he says.
4 Muscular A fight that was more about brute strength than anything else, Deku taking on Muscular came early in the series when Midoriya wasn’t even close to mastering his unique abilities. Using his Quirk to enhance his strength and speed with muscle fibers that grow like striated weeds on his body, Muscular takes Deku to task for almost the entire battle until, that is, Deku is helped along by the child he was trying to protect during the fight, Kota.
