Deleted messages from woman Hayne found guilty of raping could hold key to appeal
Disgraced NRL star Jarryd Hayne is hoping Facebook messages from a woman he was found guilty of raping could be the key to him being freed from prison and his conviction being quashed.

Picture: NCA NewsWire / David SwiftTim Game SC, representing Hayne on Wednesday told the state’s highest court, the Court of Criminal Appeal, his client should be acquitted rather than face a fourth trial.
Mr Game argued concealment was “the same as lying or deception”, saying the woman hid evidence on “a large scale”. “This has been the hardest most painful thing I’ve ever been through and you can thank yourself for helping a guilty person.”
