A judge made no decision Tuesday about releasing the probable cause affidavit accusing Richard Allen of killing Libby German and Abby Williams.

Five years after Liberty German and Abigail Williams were killed in Delphi, Indiana, 50-year-old Richard Allen has been charged with their murders.DELPHI, Ind. — Prosecutors fueled speculation during Tuesday's hearing that Richard Allen was not alone when they allege he killed Libby German and Abby Williams in early 2017.

"Secrecy of judicial action can only breed ignorance and distrust of courts and suspicion concerning the competence and impartiality of judges,” attorneys for the media wrote, citing a Nebraska case.At the conclusion of Tuesday morning's 40-minute hearing, Special Judge Fran Gull said she will publish a decision on whether to make public the charging documents and affidavit after reviewing both sides' arguments.

“The public has an absolute right to the information, but at what cost?” McLeland said. “They force his wife to abandon their house.” As for McLeland's concern for the safety of the witnesses, Rozzi said, “I haven’t heard, nor have I seen in the evidence presented, any actionable threats.”
