Fans of modding are appalled to hear that a new Denuvo feature will prohibit modifications of PC games made with Unreal Engine.
Unsurprisingly, there’s pushback against all of this on social media. Denuvo is already hugely unpopular, as its Anti-Tamper technology demands an internet connection for it to work and is alleged to make games run worse.
What hasn’t helped is that the Twitter post for the Nintendo news comes with what is clearly not official Zelda artwork. Several accuse it of being AI generated, which is another highly controversial subject.Cool, now my switch games will run slow. And here I thought it was only for PCLiterally nobody likes Denuvo, and multiple people cancel buying products when they hear that it has utterly pointless DRM interference on top of whatever DRM protection already exists, like Steam.
