The notices were sent to officials in several Texas border towns earlier this week in a bid to thwart the unprecedented number of asylum seekers that have been flooding in. The memo, which is drafted in Spanish and English, warns asylum seekers that Denver’s resources have already been “exhausted” — and that single adult migrants can only stay in one of the city-run shelter for 14-days.

Those notes, which warned migrants the Big Apple “cannot help you”, were being dished out to combat misinformation at the border, Deputy Mayor Anne Williams-Isom said.
