The suspect fled the scene but later was apprehended on a ramp connecting Interstate 70 and Interstate 25.
A man died Saturday morning after he was assaulted and run over by a car in a west Denver neighborhood.
The incident was reported at 6:22 a.m. near the intersection of West 10th Avenue and Newton Street, Denver Police Department spokesman Kurt Barnes said. The suspect’s name was not being released Saturday morning, Barnes said. The motive was unknown. The victim’s identity will be released by the Denver medical examiner once the next-of-kin is notified.
