August high temperatures are back as Tuesday’s high is expected to be 93 degrees.
With the high temperature Tuesday also comes an Ozone Action Day Alert for the Front Range urban corridor, as the heat and dry conditions worsen air quality for sensitive groups.Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s air quality forecast shows the Denver and Boulder areas reaching the unhealthy for sensitive groups level in ozone concentrations. Colorado Springs, Greeley and Ft. Collins are all forecast to reach the moderate level.
Residents in areas not expected to hit the unhealthy level are asked to reduce activities that impact air quality in neighboring areas such as driving gas and diesel cars.
