On Wednesday morning, Mr Marles took to social media to reveal his COVID diagnosis and his isolation status after returning home to Victoria. Mr Marles added he was"taking the necessary precautions to keep those around me well" and that he was looking"forward to being back on deck soon". He steps up to the role currently held by General Angus Campbell having served as Vice Chief, with that position going to Air Marshal Robert Chipman.
