An investigation is underway after a pedestrian was stuck and killed in a fail to stop crash in Sydney’s west close to midnight on Sunday.
A 79-year-old man has been killed in an alleged hit and run in Sydney ’s western suburbs overnight with police launching a desperate investigation.
About 11.45pm, emergency services were alerted to a critical incident on Abell Road in Melonba, near Mount Druitt, after reports of an injured man on the side of the road.An investigation is underway after a pedestrian was stuck and killed in a fail to stop crash in Sydney’s west. Initial inquiries have indicated the elderly man was hit by a car which police suspect was a purple/blue coloured coupe which was travelling eastbound along Abell road at the time of the incident.A report will be prepared for the Coroner. Anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area, or who may have witnessed the incident, have been urged to contact police.
