"No-one in the streets, people in fear, they don't know where to turn, not a whole lot of information unfortunately, we don't know if the fires have been contained, have they not been contained?" he says.
"Officials have apologised for causing further alarm when emergency alerts were accidentally sent to residents outside those zones," Macmillan told News Radio. "They've urged people not to disable the emergency warning systems on their mobile phones amid concerns it could leave them vulnerable if the threat assessment changes.
