A ‘devil-worshipping’ killer who escaped from a secure hospital has been tracked down and returned to the west London facility. On Monday at around 3pm, Mosa Jamal Abid was on escorted leave at a local newsagents when he fled.

The force said: ‘Mosa was located by officers after a call from a member of the public at around 10:00hrs in the Northolt area on Saturday, 15 April. He has been returned to hospital.

‘We would like to thank the public and media for their support in publicising this appeal and assisting in locating Mosa Abid.’‘Mosa – if you are reading this then please do the right thing and return to hospital so you can get the care and support you need,’ they said.In October 2016, Abid visited his cousin, Settar, at his Wembley home to carry out the killing.

He had earlier written a rambling letter addressed to Satan before taking a kitchen knife and stabbing Settar repeatedly. All the victim’s younger sisters, aged nine and 15, could hear were screams coming from their brother’s bedroom. He took off to his father’s flat to throw on a new shirt. Police found him the following morning sitting on a bench.

When police raided his Northolt home, they found the letter to Satan as well as documents on devil worship and the Illuminati. Abdi had absconded once before while receiving out-patient treatment at Homerton Hospital in Hackney, east London in October 2019.
