has started making Elote pizza, a popular, seasonal favorite. Elote, which means ‘corn cob’ in Spanish, is Mexican street corn. Traditionally it is served as charred corn on the cob coated in creamy mayo. It garnished with chilli powder and garlic. The final touches are sprinkles of Cotija cheese and cilantro.“Dewey’s takes its Elote to the next level by hand-shucking and cutting the corn freshly from the cob each morning,” according to a press release.
Pizza toppings are olive oil, mozzarella, fresh roasted corn and poblano peppers, red onions and queso fresco. It is finished with a drizzle of Tajin crema and cilantro after baking. The pizza is available in 11-, 13- and 17-inch sizes. The gluten-free crust is available as 12-inch pie.Three of those locations are in Greater Cleveland – Cleveland Heights, Lakewood and Fairlawn.
