Blizzard has spoken about some of the free seasonal content we can expect to see in Diablo IV...
), Blizzard associate game director Joe Piepiora has shed some light on the team's plans for Diablo IV's post-launch content, which will come as free and premium content. For free content, we can expect to see seasonal updates applied every three months that will introduce small story additions to tie in new gameplay mechanics and more complex systems to the ever-growing world of Sanctuary.
These quarterly updates will be accompanied by new Battle Passes, which will have free and premium tracks for you to work through, both of which will only offer cosmetic items. The first season won't go lie until sometime after Diablo IV's launch, however. The seasonal updates will fill the gap between full purchasable content expansions that will include a much larger amount of content.
