Buddies assistant coach in no doubt that Caolan Boyd-Munce will soon be a regular at international level

St Mirren's rising star Caolan Boyd-Munce is being tipped for a Northern Ireland breakthrough, with the club's assistant manager Diarmuid O'Carroll singing his praises.

While McMenamin got some game time, Boyd-Munce is yet to earn his first cap for his country. Nevertheless, O'Carroll has reassured the 24 year old midfielder that his chance will come, highlighting his capacity to perform at the highest level.O'Carroll expressed his confidence in Boyd-Munce, stating: "I'm sure he was disappointed but he was different class.

O'Carroll believes that Boyd-Munce has a bright future ahead and could be a key figure for Northern Ireland going forward, concluding: "He could be part of this generation going forwards. He's only 24. But he'll take nothing but confidence from the fact that in training and every day, you could look at him and go, well, he's a very good player. He can play at this level with no problem.

"When Ethan Erhahon left here at 21, he'd played 120 games, and Caolan's played 40. He's going to still be making errors but I think over the last two or three months, we've seen his level drastically rise.
