Advocacy groups expect a royal commission into the abuse of Australians with a disability to be announced as soon as Monday.
It comes after the Social Services Minister met with disability groups to discuss the draft terms of reference, which are set to be released next week.
Megan Clement-Couzner of Preventing Violence from People with Disability Australia told Sky News she is ‘really pleased with the way that it’s shaping up’, and is ‘relieved’ that the government is listening to her organisation’s calls for a royal commission.
