A council allocating funding to support the Voice to Parliament has led to one dissenter arguing that indulging on social issues and pushing agendas should not be in the remit of councillors.
Mr Yildiz described it as an “abuse” of their roles and that it was “disgraceful behaviour”.
The Guardian Essential poll of 1,150 voters, released on Tuesday, found that just 43 per cent of Australians support the proposed constitutional reform while 47 per cent are opposed and 10 per cent are unsure. The poll found 47 per cent of Victorians said they would vote Yes while 46 per cent indicated they would vote No.
