They have been a bottom-four club and Tino has been the one holding the place together with his leadership.“What he has done for that football club has been incredible.“Yes, the club has been very good to him, but he is their only Origin and Australian player and he is still digging in for them. “He left a top-four club after winning a premiership to show faith in the Titans. On Friday Rogers responded to Mamio’s criticism and moved to clarify his comments as a hypothetical throwaway line on “Let me clear the air, I’ve been accused of saying that the Titans should get rid of Tino Fa’asuamaleaui. I’ve never said this,” Rogers said on“They’re trying to re-sign Cooper Bai, and I just said in a hypothetical throwaway comment… if I had to choose, which we don’t, between Cooper Bai and Tino, I’m probably going to take Cooper, and there’s a number of reasons why. “Tino is an amazing player and I love Tino, and I want him to stay at the Titans, but the reason why is Cooper is 19, is going to cost less than half of what Tino ... but the reality is we don’t have to choose, the Titans don’t have to choose. Tino’s the one that chooses.” Rogers called on Mammino to come on the show and explain his comments and why his star client won’t commit to the club. “I’m the one getting hammered, his agent’s come out… Simon , if you’re listening, come on the show, explain the situation to us, we’d love to hear,” Rogers said.“By round five or six, if I’m playing in the team, I’d like to know what Tino’s doing because I don’t wanna be going into a press conference going, ‘what’s Tino doing?’ “It’s something that can derail the club because he’s such a powerful figure in the game and for the Gold Coast Titans. “There’s a new era at the Gold Coast Titans, there’s a new regime there, there’s a new coaching staff. “Now Tino would have come in after Christmas, he wouldn’t have been there before Christmas because he was on tour so you give him time to assess and understand the landscape and how it’s all going.“But to think that I don’t want Tino at the Gold Coast Titans is crap, it is absolute crap.Source: News Corp AustraliaRoosters supremo Nick Politis is sending a number of stars past and present to Las Vegas to promote his club and rugby league at the Vegas Nines tournament he helped found.reported premiership winner Luke Keary will coach the LA Roosters at the Nines, with NRLW stars Millie Elliott and Jess Sergis to play in the women’s competition. The Roosters featured in the inaugural NRL Las Vegas double header in 2024, before Politis spent $500,00 to establish a league academy on the US west coast while launching the LA Roosters to compete in the Californian league. The $200,000 combined prizemoney for winning the men’s and women’s Nines competitions would be a small bonus to growing the game and the Roosters brand in America. Keary, who won two premierships with the Roosters in 2018 and 2019 is now an assistant coach under Trent Robinson and jumped at the chance to represent the club in Las Vegas. “Nick is dead serious about this investment – it’s great for our game someone like Nick is trying to grow the game,” Keary said.“We’re sending over a few of the younger boys over who haven’t played first grade, but have played SG Ball and NSW Cup.Sign up now!!!“We know how much money and time Nick has invested in the Roosters and the game. To see his passion for America, it’s been cool.” Meanwhile, Keary is excited by the Roosters’ new halves combination of Daly Cherry-Evans and Sam Walker, but warned it would take time for them to build their combination. “It takes time to build that partnership and connection, and it’s not just about Daly and Sam, Reece Robson has come into the side, so there’s a lot of change to the spine,” Keary said.“When Cooper arrived in 2018, we also had ‘Teddy’ join the spine. “It might click straight away, maybe it takes a month, half a year. When it comes to Daly and Sammy, we are talking about two very good footballers with very high footy IQs.”
