TV star Nicky Buckley has addressed a scandal that erupted in the 1990s when she chose to continue presenting on TV while pregnant.

On Wednesday night’s episode, Buckley spoke about the nationwide debate that erupted in 1997 when she became the first woman on Australian TV to wear figure-hugging clothing that failed to conceal her baby bump.“That I should be taken off until I’ve had the baby. Then the magazines all ran articles on it. The newspapers, the radio stations ran polls on it.
“Channel Nine news said they had fax machines jammed with people writing in and trying to get me off the air,” she said. It comes after a social media post from Channel 10 earlier this month appeared to have accidentally revealed Buckley
