Iger hinted further international expansions of the ad-supported service were on the cards as Disney+ works to drive more subscribers to the ad tier, meaning Australia could be offered the option soon. It follows Netflix’s decision last year to offer subscribers an ad-supported membership for $6.99 a month — considerably cheaper than the basic $10.99 plan and $16.99 standard plan.currently shows ads as a hybrid model for its streaming service, which promotes other movies or TV shows on its Prime Video service.
