A person has been hit by a train which is causing disruption trains in Nottinghamshire. The incident took place between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Oxford Road on Monday, June 26, morning.

Trains on the Liverpool, Nottingham, Norwich route have been disrupted. Trains cannot currently run via Warrington Central. Rail officals have said that customers travelling between Liverpool and Manchester may use their tickets on alternative operators services.East Midlands Railway said: "We are sad to report that a person has been hit by a train. This has occurred between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Oxford Road disrupting our trains on the Liverpool/Nottingham/Norwich route. We are currently unable to run trains via Warrington Central.

They added: "We are unable to run between Liverpool and Manchester, customers travelling between Liverpool and Manchester may use their tickets on alternative operators services."
